INTRODUCTION
There is a famous temple dedicated for Lord Ganapathi in Nanganallur, Chennai, and this temple is known as Sri Kubera Ganapathi Temple. Since Lord Vinayaka in this temple does the functions of Lord Kubera(The god of wealth and fortunes) such as giving wealth and prosperity to his devotees, hence he has got such a nice name! This temple is as popular similar to the Nanganallur Sri Anjaneyar Temple, and this temple is mostly worshipped by job seekers, family man, business and working professionals.

As per ancient legend, once Lord Kubera has become pride due to his supreme powers. When he granted marriage loan to Lord Venkateswara(A form of Lord Vishnu), he even considered himself to be more powerful than that of the great Lord Venkateswara! Due to that, he has lost his powers, and he was asked by Lord Venkateswara to perform penance on Lord Ganapathi at the present place of this temple, in order to get rid from his curse! Lord Kubera worshipped Venkateswara then performed penance at this wonderful place, and after sometime, Lord G anapathi had appeared before him and blessed him, and as a result, Kubera had regained his powers, and since Lord Kubera worshipped Lord Ganapathi at the present place of this temple, hence the temple came to be known as Sri Kubera Ganapathi Temple.
We can find lot of crowd during monthly Chathurthi and annual Chathurthi days, and it is believed that whoever worships him by keeping utmost faith on him, would be blessed by Lord Kubera Ganapathi, and therefore they would lead a luxurious and sophisticated life like Lord Kubera!
At this present period, even earning a single paisa is very difficult, and likewise, finding a suitable job is also very difficult, and due to that, sometimes, even innocent people commit crimes like theft and fraudulent activities, in order to make more money. Hence, in order to get a decent income through honest means, let us keep worshipping Lord Kubera Ganapathi by chanting his mantras, singing songs on him, and reciting his various wonderful names as much as possible!
